Douglas Amplifier Corporation was founded in 2008 by Jeremy Douglas and Paul Babiak. Hand-built at Paul's Boutique in Toronto, the DB5A was designed as a high-quality amplifier for modern home studios and small club performance. Combining a classic 5 watt guitar amp and a high quality tube preamp in one box, the DB5A is the perfect 2-in-1 amplifier for every musician. With emphasis on quality, hand wired boutique build, and point to point, class A design techniques, Douglas amplifiers strive to deliver dependability, performance and vintage guitar tone.
Paul Babiak is the the owner and operator of Paul's Boutique, a small vintage guitar haven located in the heart of Kensington Market in Toronto. Prior to opening the shop he spent 5 years in California playing in bands and learning the guitar business. He still enjoys playing and recording music with friends.
Jeremy Douglas - Electronics enthusiast, designer and builder of Douglas Amplifiers. As a guitarist with 8 years of experience as an electronics technician, attention to detail, quality and originality remain at the top of priorities while building each custom made Douglas Amplifier.
